It has been my pleasure to have had Mr. Alagesan Shankar Prakash as a graduate student during my service in the Department of Criminology at the University of Madras. Beyond being one of the most dedicated students I have known, he has a world-class intellect that is readily apparent to all that meet him. Prakash also has a tremendous work ethic that I've seldom seen equaled. We have worked together on research projects pertaining to his interest in wildlife conservation, in particular efforts to curb poaching. He knowledge of the subject is both broad and deep. Unlike most, he has practical experience from his time serving at a Tamil Nadu tiger preserve. He has earned my recommendation with no reservations. I am confident he has the brightest of futures.
