I had the pleasure of working for Kama Carnes during my tenure at Kiki de Montparnasse. Kama is the most inspirational and motivational leader I have ever worked under. Her passion for the brand and for each individual employee creates a unique environment where creativity and entrepreneurship thrives. Kama’s sense of beauty and leadership seeped into every single aspect of what made Kiki de Montparnasse so special with that je ne sais quoi. Her passion, motivation and leadership skills would certainly be an asset to any company.

Kama Carnes was the President of Kiki de Montparnasse and my boss during my 2+ years whilst I was part of the Kiki Team. Kama created a dynamic in the corporate office and all three boutiques that made co-workers feel like family and led to a deeply respectful work environment. It meant that working at Kiki, you felt rooted in the brand and not just another employee. This led to being surrounded by a passionate, creative and supportive team that enjoyed coming to work every day and taking on new challenges together. Kama submerged herself into making sure each employee felt valued and heard. This was done with one on one meetings, emails, and constantly making sure employees were able to flex there schedule for family events, holidays and just making time to talk to everyone about their week and how they were doing both in the work place and out of it. Kama never greeted anyone of her employees without a huge smile and hug. She listened to ideas and helped employees map out the future they wanted in the company and worked with them in achieving it. She has been, and continues to be, an incredible mentor to myself amongst many others. It was such a pleasure working with her and am so thankful for all that I was taught as well as the other incredible Kiki employees she introduced me to. Her strong work ethic and infectiously kind personality has inspired me into being a better employee.
