Introducing Leuven’s first ever management and leadership hub, where students, companies and business schools come together. Our goal is to become the management and leadership accelerator for KUL students who show clear potential to becoming the next generation of leaders. BLASE wants to provide students with a firm grasp of what good management means by introducing them to true leaders from the industry and real cases that we can all learn from. For students BLASE offers online content, public events, a guide to your next business school and our very own BLASE bootcamp, a training program that will give students more insights in management and show them how to become more effective leaders. A business trip is included in the bootcamp and will bring students in touch with top-tier schools and inspire them to keep on developing themselves to become the ultimate leaders of tomorrow.

Smooved is a free online one-stop shop for all your moving administration, like energy, water or insurance. The optimisation works through smart comparison modules, which allow you to choose the ideal supplier for your location. The entire service is free and Smooved gets its revenue from commissions from their partners. Also a network of real estate agents makes the service scalable and recurrent. As part of Start It@KBC, imec.start and The Birdhouse they are one of the hottest startups of this moment.

Academics For Companies is a junior enterprise in entrepreneurship, soft skills and consulting. The pillar experience is responsible for Student Consulting projects as well as Students@ Startups and Project Startup.With the latter we introduced a brand new opportunity to the market in 2019 for students to create their own startup together with Cronos Leuven. Managing all of the above and a team of 6 project coordinators and 2 startup coordinators gave me the chance to practice my leadership skills and to grow professionally.

Product Innovation Project (PiP)

Product innovation project is a course where an interdisciplinary team of students develops a solution for a project that is provided by a project sponsor during a full academic year. In this case, the sponsor is the province of Flemish Brabant who wants to highlight regional products by means of their platform Straffe Streek. The project consists of devising a structural solution to lower the threshold for consumers on the one hand and to bring a wider and more diverse public to the producers and partners on the other.Product innovation project is een opleidingsonderdeel waar een interdisciplinair team van studenten gedurende een volledig academiejaar samen oplossingen bedenkt voor een project dat wordt aangereikt door een projectsponsor. In dit geval is de sponsor de provincie Vlaams-Brabant die door middel van een platform Straffe Streek streekproducten meer in de kijker wil plaatsen. Het project bestaat erin een structurele oplossing te bedenken om enerzijds de drempel voor consumenten te verlagen en anderzijds een breder en diverser publiek naar de producenten en partners te brengen.
