Functions of the position:  Facilitate Community Based Services Staffings in which children are safely prevented from entering the dependency system while achieving intensive and timely service provision  Facilitate Community Based Services Staffings on all families referred to Kids Central’s subcontracted diversion providers, Family Intervention Services, FGDM program, local domestic violence and substance abuse providers.  Promotes the provider agencies participation in discussion and recommendations during staffing  Facilitate transfer from Department of Children of Families to Kids Central’s sub-contracted Case Management Agencies on children who could not be diverted from the dependency system.  Use strength-based approach when working with families and Kids Central’s partner agencies  Demonstrate the ability to be agents of change in supporting Kids Central’s mission, vision and strategic plan  Documents in FSFN activities and progress in conjunction with case managers  Perform other business duties as assigned by management.

The reviews include, reviewing, monitoring, and follow-ups, determining and tracking trends and reporting. This position allows me the opportunity to work closely with external and community partners to include such programs as Devereux Kids, Care Network, the Intensive Reunification Program, Family Team Coaching, Crisis Response Team, the Nurturing Program and others. In partnership with Case Management Agencies, I manage Summer Camp Initiative’s, requiring working with local camp providers as well as the CMA’s to ensure that adequate funding is available to support youth participation. All duties provide opportunities to work with internal team members and departments to include, Contracts, Finance, Independent Living, Licensing and Educational Liaisons. I also participate, when necessary, in Early Service Intervention and Diversion Staffings to assist in determining what possible case plan tasks or diversion/prevention services could be implemented to better serve the family.
