I had the pleasure of hiring Josh into the emergency department. He adapted quickly to the fast paced, critical care environment. Josh is a fast learner with excellent critical thinking skills. As Josh’s former manager, it has been rewarding watching him grow professionally. Josh has excellent communication skills with both patients and co-workers. His ability to adapt quickly to any environment and compassionately care for patients make him an excellent candidate for any healthcare setting. Josh is an excellent nurse, mentor and leader. He would be an asset to any team.

I hired Joshua as a Design Assistant for a commercial photoshoot. He was great -- whenever there was something that needed to be done, he stepped in to help out however he could. He took initiative and did a number of things without even being asked. He provided spot-on design input on the shots, showing he has a good eye for detail and good instincts. I believe he will be a great asset to whatever graphic design team he joins!

Joshua LarsonHe/Him/HisJoshua comes to Well and Company with a vision to support and deliver high quality medical esthetics at our Sartell location. He will also champion and help us expand primary care to underserved and vulnerable communities. He has a particular interest in Men’s health and LGBTQ+ medicine. He adds that “Men and folx in the LGBTQ+ community have historically avoided healthcare because of systems that didn’t understand their specific needs. These individuals have also historically not been able to express their true selves in order to receive the same high level care as others. “A board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Joshua graduated from the University of Cincinnati with his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Nursing. He has extensive experience is rural emergency medicine. Joshua also has a unique education background prior to nursing that includes Bachelors degrees in Graphic Design and Spanish from the University of Minnesota. He spent many years creating healthcare graphic systems for the University of Minnesota and College of Epidemiology and Community Health. “I am a cis gay male and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community, I know the importance of creating accepting spaces where individuals feel like they belong. I believe that in these spaces is where we receive the highest level of compassionate care. At Well and Company, I will create and maintain the most personable and individualized care for all of my clients. To me this means remaining open, transparent and understanding of their wellness goals all while incorporating western medicine, holistic and integrative practices for both mental and physical health.”

I am the off-the-wall thinker in the group. I take ideas too far and then reel them back in to perfection. With a strong background creating effective designs across a broad range of mediums, I bring a lot to the table. I work at a fast pace and I want to be criticized. Created and implemented all graphic design projects for the HIPS program (HIV Intervention and Prevention Studies program) at the University of Minnesota. Created unique deliverables such as website creation, maintenance and advertising; outreach materials, collateral materials, direct mailers, flyers, logos, cards, print ads, banners, and signage. Re-branded and established identity systems to create a visual presence in defined niche markets. This resulted in a solid brand that spoke directly to the target market and increased participation and retention in the programs seminars. My work also established a visual presence locally, nationally and internationally, supporting the highly reputable research that it conducts.
