Laura was very supportive and caring in my journey retraining for a new career. She managed so many students but she gave undivided attention to us all. She was great being on top of communication and answering all my questions. I also felt her deep concern whenever I expressed my struggles in the journey of attending an intense coding bootcamp and was still checking-in with me after my graduation date. Laura is a great caring career coach and really embodies the mission of Project QUEST.

I worked with Laura at CASA of Central Texas, Inc. and had a hand in her hiring. Just looking at Laura's resume and interacting with her via phone and e-mail she displayed the utmost in professionalism. Upon meeting Laura for her series of interviews with CASA, I knew we had to act fast before another organization saw her talent and snatched her up! It was my pleasure to work beside Laura and even supervise her in the interim between hirings. Laura is a fast learner and has the ability to intuitively understand the need of organizations/clients for whom she is working. Laura takes the initiative in whatever she does. She is a social media marketing whiz and is always coming up with new and innovative ways to troubleshoot challenges. Anyone would be fortunate to work with her and I hope I hope I have another opportunity in the future.

CASA volunteers help children that in the foster care system because their homes are no longer safe. CASA's are frequently the only stable presence in these children’s lives and serve as the 'eyes and ears' for the judges in child welfare cases, representing the best interests of the child. I coordinated the first Watoto Project fundraising tournament to benefit Tanzanian orphans in which I organized media, volunteers, and over 60 participants in the tournament. I also assisted presenters at the Starlit Discussion Series that dealt with topics like immigration, the NSA, and innovation. It was also my job to lead monthly events as part of the Seguin Respect Campaign including: Everyone Matters Day, an anti-bullying campaign at local school, and a TLU education module.
