  As a key member of the front desk staff I am the face to the customer for Hilton. My day-to-day duties include meeting and assisting customers with check-in/out, filling the role of concierge, and assisting current and potential customer over the phone. I help out with other roles and duties as needed to ensure the property runs smoothly.



Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast

  In my role as the Assist Innkeeper I was able to help out in all aspects of operating Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast. I worked and took care of the five guest rooms on an old Victorian farmstead. The Innkeeper Jeanna Stavas has a full restaurant license, which allowed me to get experience in setting up the property for events, making meals, serving the guests, and cleaning up. Innkeepers wear many hats and are responsible for everything from cleaning, cooking, guest tending, marketing and… In my role as the Assist Innkeeper I was able to help out in all aspects of operating Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast. Innkeepers wear many hats and are responsible for everything from cleaning, cooking, guest tending, marketing and finance; to name just a few and as the assistant I got to try it all. A big piece of that was Social Media and being introduced to all of her new campaigns that Jeanna was working on. I had the opportunity to put together a photoshoot and that entailed, working with the photographer to set a date and time, reaching out to local people to be "models", preparing lunch for the guests, getting the bed and breakfast cleaned and ready to be photographed, creating a checklist of each different location on the property and making sure it was documented as well as directing the models and photographer around to keep the process going.   Coming into college I had the opportunity to work as a Photographer and Graphic Designer for Student Involvement. My main focus for the position was photography, so I would go to the events and document what students were participating in at the events. This was later used on social media and printed off and hung in the Union as decoration.
