Ryan is one of the key reasons I ended up at DocuSign. His ability to condense complexity into a narrative that resonates, while painting the full potential of the company is a gift. He is one of the most visionary professionals I've ever worked with and is a cultural leader within the company. His commitment and passion are remarkable and serve as a role model to others across teams. He also has a versatility like few others where he can speak in minute detail about how a set of services should be organized, but then give a keynote that speaks to non-subject matters in clear, powerful stories that just make sense. I enjoy working with Ryan and look forward to many more years working together.

In my career I've met only a handful of people who "get it." Ryan is one of those people. "What does he get," you ask? Good question. The intersection of theory and execution, where the rubber truly meets the road, is where you will find Ryan. He has a bear trap mind that can wrestle an answer out of the weeds but also grasp the big picture. I've worked with Ryan as a peer, where I found his enthusiasm and passion inspiring, his depth of knowledge impressive and his forecasting ability eerily accurate. I've also worked under Ryan as a report, where I found his collaborative, open door leadership style a refreshing break from the black box mentality prevalent in many managers. In my opinion there is very little Ryan cannot do; the breadth of his responsibilities at Gracenote and outside of it testify to his flexibility as a contributor and leader. I would happily work with him again in any capacity and encourage any company to give him serious consideration.

An estimated 3 billion people will be living without access to adequate shelter by 2050 — a 200% increase over three decades. To tackle this massive issue, New Story is researching breakthroughs in homebuilding and proving them in every community they build. They then share them with other homebuilders, so collectively, multiple organizations can all build faster, better, and stronger. John Vanderslice is the owner and proprietor of Tiny Telephone Recording in San Francisco. Since opening 20 years ago, TT has become one of the busiest studios on the West Coast, and one of the last to be running analog multi-track tape machines full-time. TT keeps rates low to attract independent bands of all levels and make creative studio recording a possibility for all musicians. John is the man. I'm happy to know him, and to be able to help him with TT Oakland. John Vanderslice is the owner and proprietor of Tiny Telephone Recording in San Francisco.
