  Lived and worked in Sofia, Bulgaria. Developed and taught ESL classes to adult learners in a combination of conversational and academic instruction. Led the translation, production, and implementation of a video instruction series originally produced for students in the United States into Bulgarian. I also opened communication with constituents in Albania and made the initial outreach visits to them. We lived in Sofia only 7 months after the official fall of the communist government. My time in Bulgaria definitely broadened my world view and was one of the most impactful experiences I have ever had.
