Elementary School Teacher
-
Jun 2006 - May 2020
As an elementary school teacher, I taught the subjects English, Filipino, and Social Studies. I planned, developed, and prepared learning objectives, lesson plans, and appropriate learning experiences for the students following the k-12 competencies and the Understanding By Design framework. I am also responsible for classroom management and the delivery of instruction to students. I am able to apply creative and current teaching strategies adapted to the needs and capabilities of the students. I have also developed assessments and evaluation materials to assess the students’ performance and progress and consolidated work outputs, results, and accomplishments into quarterly performance reports. Aside from these, I collaborated with the administration, colleagues, and parents in programs, projects, and activities that are directed to the students’ holistic development. As a teacher, I was also able to provide intervention measures such as enrichment, re-teaching, re-testing, and related approaches for students having difficulties in the subject. Show less
