In 2005 I was contacted by the owner of Ticket Turtle, which has since become Arts People. He was working with clients on fundraising software and I mentioned that if he wanted to create something great that he would develop a system to handle fundraising and ticketing with patron management tools all in one, for performing arts groups. At the time no good solutions were out there that most groups could afford. For a year or more we talked periodically and I consulted on the development of what would become the present system. In 2006 the company had over 30 client organizations around the US and word was spreading fast about Ticket Turtle. The owner needed help working with the clients and I left my position as Director of IT to join the company. I built the Client Services department and developed support strategies, training, classes... all from the ground up. I eventually gained the title of Director of Client Services heading a small dedicated team who provided world-class service to our clients, not only answering questions, but consulting on their operations in order to help them be more successful in their endeavors. In 2012 with transitions within the company my role shifted to focus even more on my expertise of the product and system and working more closely on product development with the technical team, as well as the outward communications with the clients on their needs. As Communications Manager and then as Product Manager & System Expert I worked as a central hub between client services, the technical team, and the owners/managers.In March of 2017 my role changed to Marketing Director which the company never had. Unfortunately there was no dedicated budget so the plans I'd developed weren't able to be pursued. In approximately Nov 2018 I moved back into the role of Client support as a system expert. Since then the position has changed name to Technical and Product Support Specialist. As of 5/2020 I am on furlough through Aug 2020.
