In my current role, I function similarly to that of a business analyst. I am responsible for, and have ownership of MLC's in-house unit pricing and distribution application known as UNISON. I work as the bridge between the business and technology teams, working collaboratively in an agile framework to deliver process improvements and application builds.Reponsibilities include:- Gathering business requirements for changes and improvements to UNISON and subsequently refining those requirements into a form usable by both the business and technology teams.- Communicating business requirements to the technology team in an understandable form.- Prioritising and managing the various changes depending on their level of necessity against capacity constraints.- Assisting in managing the workflow of the technology team to enable them to undertake changes in the most efficient and pragmatic way. - Testing any new changes and improvements to ensure that they meet business requirements without disrupting any existing functionality.- Preparing and providing training for any new users of the application.
