I noticed a lack of Subscription businesses in South Africa. Working on my skills in eCommerce and digital marketing, a plan was formulated to start a subscription box business. Sweets were the obvious choice. Built the website using Wordpress and WooCommerce and oversaw the development of a custom payment gateway to process debit order for customers. Grew the Facebook fan base to 40k and the email database to about the same. Built systems and processes to ensure that we were able to efficiently send out in excess of 500 boxes in one day with integrations to multiple courier companies, providing customers with accurate tracking information for their orders. Set up and maintained customer support and ticketing system that ensured that customers concerns were dealt with efficiently and effectively. Set up and maintained a fully functional VOIP system with multiple incoming phone numbers and extensions.
