  John Ryan, a licensed and experienced engineer, and principal of Engineering Solutions, PLLC, practices mechanical engineering design and project management. Mr. Ryan specializes in bringing a collaborative design approach enabling creative and innovative design solutions for projects and has managed various scale and complexity for clients including Yale University, SUNY and numerous commercial, retail and residential owners. Mr. Ryan established appropriate design methods and standards and is a proponent of energy efficient, optimized designs that consider all inputs, costs and efficiencies. As a principle, Mr. Ryan has direct client and design interface, supervises design and operations, and performs quality assurance reviews. Prior to Engineering Solutions, PLLC, Mr. Ryan had his own firm, John Ryan Engineering, based out of Ridgewood, NJ. While on his own Mr. Ryan was responsible for HVAC, Plumbing and Sprinkler engineering design, load and cost analysis, project management and field supervision. Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Ryan was project manager responsible for multi-trade project communications, design and coordination with Flack & Kurtz, a major New York consulting engineering firm, and IP Group, a boutique engineering firm focused on high-end residential projects. He began his consulting engineering career in 1992 as a mechanical designer. Mr. Ryan holds professional engineering licenses in the States of New York and New Jersey and is a member of: AEE The Association of Energy Engineers AIA The American Institute of Architects ASHRAE The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers NFPA National Fire Protection Association In 2003 Mr. Ryan completed the Executive MBA program at New York University and received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at City College of New York in 1992.
