Bio
Sam Fenwick
I was lucky enough to work alongside Peter in my time in Tokyo with the British Council. Some colleagues stand out more than others when you think back to old jobs and places you've worked. For me, in Tokyo, Peter stands out; not just because he went about his business with integrity, collegiality and quality (because many others also did) but Peter was also always willing to go the extra mile; for example - stay those extra 3 hours, find that tricky solution to complex timetabling problems without ever giving up and always willing to try something new - It's not easy to step outside your comfort zone, but when I introduced Peter to the world of Excel Spreadsheets and what they could achieve for the business activity for teachers and coordinators, he immediately set about learning that new skill. Before long he was matching my knowledge and by now, I expect he has exceeded it by far. That's the kind of professional he is. He understands the roles that managers need to adopt to facilitate learning within the team and that knowledge of a variety of skillsets will add to the overall competence of a manager or leader. Peter has gone from strength to strength in his career and I have noted his increased responsibility in roles that he has taken on. Doubtless Peter has also gained significant knowledge and experience after completing his MA but also in the roles he has done. I fully recommend Peter to anyone reading this section, and bravo, you have taken the time to find out about your future employee! You wont be disappointed!
