Jana recently completed a short internship at Holo where she worked on integrating a GoPro camera into the printer control software to allow real time acquisition of diagnostic data. The project involved writing Python code to control the camera, and building a C++ bridge for interprocess communication with the printer control software. Jana was able to work with limited supervision, taking a short spec and I had written, and getting to a working system. She had to make a number of decisions on the technical approach as discoveries where made, and she showed excellent judgement in these decisions, and she also knew when to reach out for help and not spin her wheels. At the end of the project Jana provided me with comprehensive documentation which she had created under her own initiative. Jana has a strong work ethic, and is a pleasure to work with, and has great communication skills. I think Jana is destined for a great future in Computer Science.
