      Teacher of A-level Photography, teacher of BTEC Creative Media Production and additional courses; AS-level Extended Project Qualification, Complimentary Film Photography and Darkroom practice and the Volunteering Abroad Programme through which I have lead trips with 20 students to locations such as Iceland and Nepal. I am also a personal Tutor and Tutor Team Leader. High achieving Photography department, obtaining the highest grades in the college for three years running, improving every year, achieving 73% A* grades and 92% A-B grades in 2017. Our grades give us a value added of +2 and an ALPS score of 2 which is in the top 10% of the UK. In Creative Media we often achieve a 100% pass rate. In my first year of teaching Creative Media production 81.5% of my 1st year students and 74% of 2nd year students achieved Distinction or Distinction* grades. As a Tutor I oversee a group of student through their time at the college and assist them to resolve issues which impact their success.       The Elfrida Society is a London based charity that works with adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. The Learning for Life and Work project offers accredited qualification courses to a diverse range of learners.       Plymouth Adult and Community Learning Service is a council run education service providing various courses to adults. I taught Digital Photography, Photoshop, ICT, Book Making, C.V. Writing and family learning classes. ● Increased the number of available photography classes from 2 to 6 in 6 months. All classes were full with high success and completion rates. Encouraged progression to achieve high retention rates over an 18 month period. ● Undertook a large range of CPD including curriculum framework workshops and educational policy workshops and utilised this knowledge in my teaching practice for which I was awarded grade 1 during observation and commended on outstanding administration of my courses. ● Taught CPD classes to fellow tutors on how to use social media and online resources with classes, which led to a decrease in paper based resources and an increased online presence for the service.       ACE Services is a Pupil Referral Unit and the WRAPAROUND Project is a specialist unit within ACE that offers provision for children with a statement of special needs and severe Emotional Behavioural Disorders. I worked as both a TA and Teacher for the project working one to one and with small groups of students teaching them functional skills Maths, English, Science, Art and life skills. ● Developed my teaching practice for secondary school resulting in high success rates and the unit being commended as Outstanding during an HMI Inspection in February 2012. ● Assisted the head of the unit in developing alternative programmes of learning.       I started my own photography business in 2007 and worked in Cornwall through the summer months as a wedding photographer. After leaving university I expanded my business to include portraiture work and commercial photography as well as tuition. ● Designed and built my portfolio and commercial website and promoted myself as a freelance photographer. Being self-employed has developed my personal work ethic. ● Expanded my customer base though advertising and was employed for weddings, family and individual portraits and commercial photography including catering, landscaping and accommodation. ● During this time I also offered one-to-one photography tuition to clients.       I studied my degree at Plymouth College of Art which ran a Saturday Art Club for local children.
