Bio
Andy Crowne
I am sure we have all heard the tales of there being a rare breed of 10x engineer and may have even caught a glimpse of one of these mythical beasts during our career. I have certainly worked with hundreds of engineers over my career, and while I can’t conclusively say that Simon is a 10x engineer he is about a close as you can get. Not only is Simon someone you can build a team around, he is generous with his knowledge and uses it to develop others. He is humble and likes to let his work speak for itself. He is willing to lead, and also to take responsibility. He is customer focused, a great communicator, and most of all he is passionate and super skilled when it comes to technology.
Chris Tsoukala
I have managed Simon on and off for the past 10 years and in that time I have found him to be reliable, consciences and trustworthy who always endeavours to find the best architectural solution possible. Simon has shown himself to be an exceptional software architect who has a methodical and logical approach to analysing business requirements to ensure his software architectures are fit for purpose and always forward thinking to reduce rework and maximise re-usability. He is also a great mentor to junior or less experienced team members helping them navigate the pitfalls of modern software design process and delivery. When it comes to design patterns, latest technology trends and the cloud, Simon is always my first choice to discuss the art of the possible and I value his thoughts and opinions very highly.
