As the Data Sharing Coordinator for Cal-OES, I managed a statewide information-sharing program, coordinating with local law enforcement agencies across California. I assisted regions with all aspects of successful system development, including advising regions on best practices associated with governance, cost-sharing, agency implementation efforts, and technology infrastructure design. I led and facilitated the efforts of the California Node Administrators, a collaboration of all Information Sharing Systems in the State. I was a member of the California Statewide Data Sharing Task Force, a joint effort between the California Police Chiefs Association and the California Sheriffs’ Association. This governing body has participation from local, state and federal partners in data sharing initiatives across California.
