While working at Close Renso was team lead of my team. Even though his specialty is Android development he is a great manager for the web team. I really liked the one on ones I had with Renso, you realize that Renso really cares about the company and listens to your feedback.

Renso was part of team of eight different competence experts brought together to develop a dedicated front-to-back-end solution for one of our customers. These eight people had barely seen each other before and have all together delivered a perfect job; a happy customer and the final product delivered within timing constraints and within accepted budgets. The dedicated competence of Renso, 'cloud' solutions both client-side and server-side, was a perfect fit for this project. His domain knowledge has clearly contributed to the success of this project. Though his expertise was far above average, I prefer to highlight the personal skills. A real team player with focus on results, good listening and then presenting possible solutions with strong arguments. Renso will give you a hard job when trying to bypass his proposals but on the other hand, once a decision was made, even with seemingly illogical reasoning, will pursue the direction decided upon as a Scrum team.
