Arup and I worked together for the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017, the most successful junior event ever in FIFA history in terms of attendance. There were many challenges, a country not really used to delivering international sporting events, six different state governments, the central government and FIFA as diverse stakeholders who needed to be handled, and really stiff targets on tight budgets. Arup and his marketing team managed to deliver on all counts, and the six National Supporters and eight global partners working with the event were all delighted at the exposure and value they got from the tournament. It was an absolute pleasure working with him and I know that every person on his team would like to come back and repeat the experience as well. Now that counts for even more in my book. I look forward to seeing him do much more in Indian sport.
