Having spent 2.5 years as an assistant, often being given the opportunity to tender individually & turning a healthy number of those opportunities into successful live projects, I have now been promoted to a stand-alone Estimator. My new position will hold a more personal responsibility for the submissions and demand a more astute vision for how the job will be won. With my very first win coming to final account at a board-pleasing 6%+ profit margin - I strive to continue to learn & develop myself and the business. I am currently in the process of completing my Professional Review CIOB Chartership. Show less

After successfully meeting the design needs of friends and colleagues, I set up to provide services publicly. Whilst managing Seen Nightclub and Coyote Bar, I brought the design in-house and provided the design for 3 venues of the business. Additionally MCDesign has created logos, shop signage, digital artwork and more for local businesses. No longer managing any of the venues, I remotely provide the promotions and design needs for the business. I look after a number of large commercial contracts, offering estimates to key estates managers averaging from £5,000-70,000 with some in excess of £250,000. My main sectors of estimates include drainage, roofing, groundworks, highways and maintenance. I am also involved in the tenders of large accounts mainly covering the role of communicating with contractors and sub-contractors and negotiating prices, most of which range from 1/4 to 3/4 £million. • General Manager
      • Jul 2010 - Aug 2013

Began life in the nightlife industry as general bar staff quickly progressing to Bar Supervisor, advancing to Assistant Manager April 2011. December 2012 on behalf of the business, I opened a new venue, Coyote Bar, meaning I was simultaneously Manager of Coyote Bar whilst continuing my role as Assistant Manager at Seen Nightclub. Alongside the general manager in the 940 capacity nightclub I managed a team of up to 35 staff. My role focused around the operations of the club and staff, providing a channel of communication between the managerial team and the staff, also controlling the HR. In August 2011 I obtained my personal license which gave me the responsibility to stand-in for the GM. I Designed & maintained the website and smartphone app. Took over the design artwork for our 3 venues, terminated the designers contract and brought it in-house. In between a career switch I was brought back in as General Manager of the venue, taking on the responsibility of having my name above the door. Show less
