Vyacheslav helped a lot to understand the way, how to promote and present our products in Internet.

Olga Royenko

Vyacheslav's company Monitorix provided Internet monitoring services for the clients of PR agency, I used to work as Account Director. I appreciated very much the way Vacheslav shared his knowledge about Internet monitoring, both technical and logistic sides of the process as well as his personal approach to every client's request.

The Electronic Repository of Russian Historical Statistics is the first research tool of its kind and scope to be created in the Russian Federation. My role (0.2 FTE) is development of ETL (Extract, Load, Transform) processes in order to store qualitative datasets in the structure of relational database and frontend prototyping. The aim of this research project is to create an on-line electronic repository of Russian historical statistics. The repository operates on the principle of a historical data-hub, bringing together data extracted from various published and unpublished sources in one place. Its principal focus is Russian economic and social history of the last three centuries (18th-21st). All datasets will be visualized in the different way to extract insights and get meaning out of the data stored in the repository. Participating institutions are: - Interdisciplinary Centre for Studies in History, Economy and Society (ICSHES) - International Institute of Social History (Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences), Amsterdam, Netherlands - New Economic School, Moscow, Russia (NES) Website with indicators: https://ristat.org/datasets/indicators API service description: https://github.com/IISH/rusrep/tree/master/service https://github.com/IISH/rusrep/tree/development Presentation of the project: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/16Lugg-oMe4YAa66MSrDwqrmKhP13h98x-0eMJIWBPec/pub?start=false&loop=false&delayms=3000 Show less

HiTIME project funded within the CATCH (Continuous Access to Cultural Heritage) programme of NWO, the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research. The goal of HiTiME (0.2 FTE) is the development of a Big Data text analysis system for the recognition and extraction of historical events and facts from a variety of primary and secondary historical sources, such as biographies, brochures, letters and old newspaper articles. http://www.nwo.nl/en/research-and-results/research-projects/79/2300153679.html The project consists of two different parts: 1. Searching and matching named entities extracted by HiTIME tool with authorities stored in the library (Linked Data). This part is implemented as Big Data system with Map/Reduce methodology in Hadoop framework with using of Sphinx search engine to match and link gazetteers extracted from other sources. 2. Making predictions about unknown named entities (Natural Language Processing tools) that can be stored as authorities in the library system.
