Bio
Jesse James Allen
Kent worked with our team on the National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey as one of our visual editors. He has a great ability to not only craft a story but to establish a visual style across many videos and really make them feel as if they belong together. Kent was also highly adaptable to a variety of unique creative challenges working with projection mapping and other uncommon visual formats. Overall I feel Kent has a great professional attitude and work ethic and is a pleasure to work with: Highly recommended.

I have worked for the organization for 16 seasons and without exception, this year was the most efficient, well-prepared and subsequently most enjoyable of my tenure and I attribute that directly to Kent’s leadership. Obviously, the producer’s position can be stressful and no matter how prepared we think we are, there’re always emergencies and changes that come up that can create potential nightmares. I have worked for producers that would explode at the team, creating more anxiety, and ones that would fold and the entire show then became a mess. Kent was always calm, relaxed, focused and organized. I’ll go on further to say I have worked for dozens of producers in my career across a wide swath of events and none were better than him. One of many examples I have was this Sunday’s game. Kent had the script prepared well in advance with many additions to the base script. We had giveaways, halftime Christmas gifts, improvisational options…plenty of areas that could have had issues but went perfectly smooth because of the detail and attention he gave in advance. When we had technical issues and reads couldn’t be made, Kent never panicked. He allowed the team to fix the problem and once we were back on stage, he guided us right back into sync with the show seamlessly. The team will always react effectively or negatively based on its producer’s demeanor in critical situations…Kent was flawless. I know I speak for many when I say this…he’s a true professional in every sense of the word and I hope I have the opportunity to work with him again.
