Having worked with many professionals, all with different skill sets, David is easily one of the most innovative and credible professionals I have ever encountered. I have seen David take a solution to a problem from an infant idea and grow it to become one of the best Business Process Management Systems I have ever seen. To be successful in business, you need to be able to incorporate ideas of others and it has been a pleasure to watch how David has done this. It's not an easy skill, but when done right, it empowers staff and creates a clear, expressive, positive and transparent working environment for all.

LV Technology is an internationally respected design and engineering company serving the cement industry - based in SE Asia with a global portfolio of projects. Using innovative products and designs that offer rapid project completion/R.O.I. that have lead to more than 800 successful projects worldwide, and a loyal customer base.As Contract Manager my final year was focused on resolving a number of retrospective variation orders required to close several problematic projects. Successful completion of the most complex of these required the settlement and closure of 19 negotiations with 17 creditors over a two week period, allowing subsequent settlement and closure of this $21M project.During the previous two years my career progressed from project store manager (part of initial training program) to become responsible for a number of EP / EPC projects, based on a combination of bespoke and FIDIC form of contracts, located predominantly in SE Asia but also included the conclusion of projects in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. In summary during this time I gained a good overview of both the workings of a cement plant, experience including stores management, site management and exposure to EP, EPC and EPCM forms of contract.Experience gained at LV Technology and subsequently as an advisor to a West African industrial project has given me an extensive understanding and working knowledge of the FIDIC EPC (1995 & 1999) forms of contract. Based on this I have written the following papers as a guide for engineering projects:- Change Management.- Retrospective VO’s.- EPC v EPCM – Liabilities (FIDIC).

Worked as BU IT Manager following major restructuring of this multi-national US Oil & Gas exploration and production company based in London/Aberdeen. Originally employed as a support engineer on Ivanhoe/rob Roy I was recruited to the Head Office as the Head of Personal Computing. This role saw the company expand from 70 to 300 employees in the UK and an equivalent expansion in the demands on IT. In addition to the management of change the other key tasks were:- managing a team of 6 people support a diverse range of office and specialist software.- connection to Citibank offices to allow online transactions.- evaluation of specialist software and platforms.Following a major restructure to a decentralised business unit arrangement I was promoted to BU IT Manager for the Technical Business Unit.
