Our Senior Design project focused on redesigning a 4-way stop intersection in Maryville, Tennessee which was prone to queuing and capacity issues due to the high volume of traffic and future residential development. My role in the team was to design and draft the traffic control plan for the construction of a new roundabout design. I also created excel documents for quantity takeoff, expected vehicle emissions, and cost estimation. I aided the team in other aspects of transportation design and helped perform turn movement counts. The project covered every step of the design process beginning with the scope of work and preliminary design stages under guidance of a professional engineer.

      • Jun 2019 - Aug 2019

Target went under a 4 month remodel process and I was part of the team that transitioned the store. As a team member working alongside construction teams I implemented problem solving and critical thinking to increase efficiency and guarantee completion of given tasks. Some team members lacked abilities or knowledge so I assisted and led them through tasks with communication as a key component. I also quickly gained the trust of my team leader through dedication and persistence by staying busy and asking for another task once I had completed mine.
