I have had the opportunity to work with Bill Bullen in two different job situations. My first experience with Bill was as a Commissioner of Education with the Syracuse (New York) City School District. We ran for the seat together and worked together on the board. Bill has 3 main traits that were particularly beneficial in his role as a member of the board. First is his high level of integrity which drives every thought and action that he performs. Integrity comes in various forms, the most common being moral integrity. But there is also intellectual integrity-which drives your belief system and forms strong commitments. Bill is one of the most committed persons I know. I have observed, that when Bill takes on a job or project, he takes it on 110%. He worked tirelessly campaigning on Capital Hill for funding equity in Education and was a leader in the NY State School Board Association. He worked everyday to support the children of our community. The second trait that Bill possess is passion. There are not many people who exude his level of passion. I have to believe that his passion is driven by the high level of intellectual integrity he has. It is an incredible combination. The third trait Bill exhibits is his affable personality. He can walk into a room full of people and strike up a relevant conversation effortlessly. His communication skills are sharp and comfortable at the same time. This is also evident in his public speaking capabilities as well. His ability to communicate concepts, simple or complex, in clear terms is excellent. My second opportunity to work with Bill is with clients of mine that I referred to him for Aflac Insurance products. When referring clients to an agent, it's important that the agent treat your clients with respect and places the clients needs first. The agent needs to be a skilled communicator that know their product. Bill handled my clients with skill and total professionalism. I have no concern what so ever with referring anyone to Bill for Insurance products. One interesting and relevant point with respect to Bill's Aflac career is his high performance level with Aflac. He is regularly one of the top producers in New York and has qualified for agent trips based on high production numbers. Bill is a skilled, hard working individual. As you can sense, my experience with Bill Bullen has been exceptional and I highly recommend Bill.

I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Symphony Video when he was the VP of Sales and Marketing. Bill is undoubtedly one of the most driven professional sales executives with whom I have worked. Bill is a top-performer in the education technology industry and he set the standard at Symphony Video with his work ethic, passion, and industry knowledge. I learned a lot from Bill and owe a great deal of my success at Symphony Video to him. I would recommend Bill without hesitation or reservation for any sales or sales leadership role.

Keeping up with Medicare insurance changes is a daunting task. For those in Central New York and the North Shore of Massachusetts who want an independent expert, there is North Shore Senior Healthcare, https://nsshealth.com. Before you can enroll in a Medicare healthcare plan such as Medicare Advantage (also known as Part C) or a Medicare Supplement (also known as Medigap and Part E) and a prescription plan (also known as Part D) you will need to enroll in Medicare Part A (for hospital coverage) and Part B (for medical coverage). This process may take one to two months to receive your card, so try to give yourself at least three months to learn the options and start the enrollment process. What is Aflac Supplemental Insurance? 95% of the population knows Aflac by name but knows not what they do. You are probably one of those that knows the commercials but does not know how Aflac can help you and your family. The easiest way to describe Aflac's supplemental insurance is to describe what Aflac does not provide. Aflac does not provide health insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. Aflac does not insure boats, ducks, cars or homes. Aflac insures you and your family. The Aflac policies augment your medical insurance to indemnify - to make whole - those that are stricken with sickness or illness; protects individuals and families from depletion of assets - puts cash in your wallet to help keep a roof over your head and food on the table. It's a simple concept for everyone who wants peace of mind and security for their family. Talk to your employer about supplemental coverage from Aflac today. Show less

Reimagining Future-Ready With Maia Learning “We don’t have a graduation problem as much as we have an engagement problem, and authentic learning is the answer." - Jody Manning, District Superintendent OCM BOCES Hi, I'm Bill Bullen, an entrepreneur and former commissioner of education for Syracuse City Schools. I couldn’t agree with Jody more. I also know that one of the toughest challenges for teachers is to create authentic learning opportunities. Let me share a way many schools are engaging students in authentic learning with the Maia Learning platform. It helps students grow into capable, lifelong learners who engage, take ownership of their education, and make teachers' jobs easier. If you are a school leader, register now to learn how Maia Learning can help your distrcit and I'll send you a complimentary copy of Most Likely To Success - Preparing our Kids for the Innovation Era by Tony Wagner and Ted Dintersmith (while supplies last). Vice President, Board of Education

May 2014 - Jan 2015
• Bill elected unanimously as Vice President of the Board by his peers • As Vice President, Bill helped pass a very bold and courageous Code of Conduct, Character & Support and lead the district in an unprecedented civil rights movement to restorative justice**According to the UCLA Civil Liberties project, the Syracuse City School District is one of the most egregious in the country at suspending a disproportionate number of black students and students with disabilities. The New York Attorney General subpoenaed the Syracuse City School District and found we were violating no less than three State and Federal laws with our discipline procedures. We have entered into an assurance of discontinuance agreement with the State. As a board vice president, Bill, along with the board president and commissioners were tasked with moving the district to a restorative justice culture. In January, 2015 Bill married and moved to Boston Show less
