Top Guy! Very professional and supportive

James Davidson

I enjoyed working with Jan immensely, his blend of technical knowledge and sales acumen were vital to growth of our business in the EU and beyond. Jan was involved with Vee24 form the very beginning and taught me a lot when I joined, he took on all responsibilities required to scale Vee24. He played a key role in building out the company and the solution and had great success selling to enterprise clients like KBC.

For the 750th anniversary of my hometown Borsbeek me and two friends started brewing "het Robiaantje", a Hoppy Blond Beer with 6° alcohol. What started as a one-off initiative has continued to be a succesful hobby. With limited budget and limited spare time we managed to brew, market and distribute our beer in and around Antwerp including retail stores like Carrefour, local restaurants and bars. A nice experience to launch a new brand and a customer base from scratch with limited resources! #retail #fmcg #marketing #pr #bizcase Show less

      • Sep 2017 - Nov 2017

When Dubai based, 24Vision's head of chartering, asked me to help them structure their IT tooling, I didn't hesitate one minute. The forecast of getting to understand a new industry and using my 20 years of experience in IT triggered me to take up this challenge. Documenting their business requirements for fixing dry bulk cargo's using handy- and ultramax sized vessels. Spotting quickwins and mapping their long term strategy (including big data) to disrupt the dry bulk chartering business. This while focussing on laying the foundation for their new IT needs for running their day to day operational and commercial activities. By comparing and chosing the best of breed technology on the market involving all 24Vision stakeholders. Technology blending in with 24Vision's IT context, built on Cloud platforms like force.com and interconnecting all systems with secure API's. I completed the consultancy job on time and within budget, so 24Vision chartering can move on to the next phase of their business strategy. Nice job showing I can be leading in different roles in any type of organisation. Show less

Vee24 is the leader in Live Video and Text chat engagement solutions. KBC, a market leader in the Belgian financial industry and Financial technology is using vee24 to engage prospects (or customers) in real time on their website where the customer can see and hear their representative, who can answer any question by taking them to the correct information via co-browsing, copying the bricks & mortar experience. As one of the first staff members of the Vee24 team, I have been involved in this unique start-up venture, setting up and expanding the business across Europe. As the company grew my role shifted from an Enterprise Account Management role to Business Development, doing direct sales and working through partners on accounts like Toyota (EU), Audi (DE & JP), Binckbank (BE), KBC (BE), Johnson & Johnson, Webhelp (FR), JBC (BE) and city of Mechelen (BE), and still using my strong technical and PM skills combined with personal and language skills. Getting the job done basically, which is the fun (or hard) bit of being part of a startup from the beginning. Show less
