For the 750th anniversary of my hometown Borsbeek me and two friends started brewing "het Robiaantje", a Hoppy Blond Beer with 6° alcohol. What started as a one-off initiative has continued to be a succesful hobby. With limited budget and limited spare time we managed to brew, market and distribute our beer in and around Antwerp including retail stores like Carrefour, local restaurants and bars. The forecast of getting to understand a new industry and using my 20 years of experience in IT triggered me to take up this challenge. Documenting their business requirements for fixing dry bulk cargo's using handy- and ultramax sized vessels. Spotting quickwins and mapping their long term strategy (including big data) to disrupt the dry bulk chartering business. This while focussing on laying the foundation for their new IT needs for running their day to day operational and commercial activities. By comparing and chosing the best of breed technology on the market involving all 24Vision stakeholders. Technology blending in with 24Vision's IT context, built on Cloud platforms like force.com and interconnecting all systems with secure API's. I completed the consultancy job on time and within budget, so 24Vision chartering can move on to the next phase of their business strategy.
