I worked as an Academic and Teacher co-coordinator on the Board of Right2Education, an Amsterdam-based NGO that provides free English and Dutch language courses and weekly social events to refugees/asylum-seekers in the Netherlands. My job mainly concerns working with English and Dutch teachers, including recruitment, arranging training and materials, making class timetables and booking classrooms, and coordinating substitute teachers when needed. Along with another co-coordinator, we work with a team of 16-18 teachers every semester. Show less

    • Intern
      • Jul 2021 - Aug 2021

During this internship, I had the privilege to participate in the daily operation of TAHR, a comprehensive rights organization founded under the Taiwanese Martial Law period. My biggest project in these two months was a tutoring position. I taught Mandarin classes to a refugee twice a week, with the aim of helping them to integrate into Taiwanese society. What is more, I participated in the making of a painting album for TAHR's annual fundraiser and had the chance to put my knowledge about Adobe Indesign into practice again. Show less
