Doug is a powerful presenter, influential consultant and highly effective project manager. I worked with him on a number of occasions in a complex North African environment, where Doug was able to engage his audience with technical and business concepts which were completely alien to their personal experience. Doug kept the project moving toward its goals with a calm, assured style in the face of numerous twists and turns. I would highly recommend him for any situation which demands a consultant or project manager able to influence at the highest levels.

The California ISO advanced market systems automatically balance supply and demand for electricity every fifteen minutes, dispatching the least-cost resources every 5-minutes. In November, 2014 this energy imbalance market service became available to other grids operating in the West as a way to share reserves and integrate renewable resources across a larger geographic region--reliably and efficiently. As of June 2016, grids in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and Arizona have joined or are in the process of joining the EIM. Show less
