Expanded service hours to 24/7. • Initiated new fund raising efforts in grant writing, annual appeal, and event development. • Raised funds to purchase and install updated technology. • Provided leadership in seeking approval for new three digit telephone number, 2-1-1, from the NJ Board of Public Utilities. Approval received in October 2002. • Key leader in building a network of other help lines and funders in the state for a coordinated approach to offering services statewide through the 2-1-1 Help Line. Statewide roll-out of 2-1-1 in February 2005. • Merged another hotline into the agency in May 2005. Secured a $50,000 grant for doing so.
