Silvia and I worked together in an international cooperation project between China and European Union on clean energy. It was a great opportunity to get to know her. Silvia is a people-oriented and "easy to reach" person who shows good attitude in any challenge. I worked with Silvia for a number of years while in the Global CCS Institute. Silvia took on my former role as the global lead for policy and regulatory issues. She did an outstanding job in not only managing the Institute's resources and staff to better and more deeply understand such matters, but also in representing the Institute and it's policy positions within very complex operating environments, such as the European Commission (among other institutional arrangements). She ably led and developed the analytical foundation for many of the Institute's policy positions that aim to support CCS developments and commercial deployment.
