Designed a Dump load Resistance tailor-made to suit Customer (Vestas Wind Systems A/S) requirements, which was to be used as a temporary load while a fully charged battery bank is swapped with an empty one. The functionality of the load required it to be able to dissipate large amounts of power (of the order of MW) while the switch-over takes place, withstanding all the while the disastrous effects of the temperature on its constitution as well as the circuit resistance, while keeping in mind the constructional (size, shape and material) restrictions.
