I worked as Solution architect for DNB Life Insurance & Pension application portfolio (around 40 applications/systems) in Design, Development & Maintenance Life Insurance & Pension section in DNB IT & Operations department. I had responsibility for IT architecture activities for many core insurance systems and supporting applications in the section as well as their integration interfaces with other IT systems within the whole organisation across multiple platforms. The role involded working in an international environment and cooperation with multiple vendors - Softronic, Accenture & TCS (AD/AM vendors) and Evry & HCL (Infrastructure & AO vendors).

Member of Domain Architecture Board

I was a member of "Domain Architecture Board", which was a suggestion committee in charge of reviewing all the planned architectural change activities in all the IT systems and projects in the IT section for Insurance & finance (domain) in DNB in order to support the higher-level enterprise architecture board.

Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for SQL Server upgrade (version and infrastructure) project

Worked as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for SQL Server upgrade (version and infrastructure) project for DNB Life Insurance & Pension application portfolio (around 40 applications) involving multiple application vendors as well as application operations and infrastructure vendor (HCL). The project successfully consolidated and migrated DBs and DB severs from old physical servers to a modern virtual infrastructure with the latest SQL Server 2017 version. I was involved in all phases of the project from planning, designing, implementing, testing and cutover and especially in producing and QA of documentation throughout the project. The project has also successfully delivered POC of a design concept called "SQL Server Hotel" for future SQL Servers upgrade within the organisation.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a major IT infrastructure migration project

Worked in a major IT infrastructure migration project as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for 10-12 applications/systems from Life Insurance & Pension application portfolio. This project was one of the biggest IT infrastructure projects ever executed in the organisation. In this project IT infrastructure was successfully consolidated and moved from 7 data centers across Scandinavia to 2 new data centers in Norway and at the same time Application Operations and Infrastructure vendor was shifted from Evry to HCL. I was involved in all the phases of the project from planning to cutover (especially in knowledge transfer process and producing and QA of various kind of documentations throughout the project).

Solution architect for an insurance system

Worked as Solution architect for an insurance system called ITM (Insurance Technology Management) - a unit linked and life insurance administration system and one of the core systems within DNB Life & Pension system portfolio. It has Softronic AB as AD/AM vendor and had Evry as infrastructure and Application operations vendor. I had mainly responsibility for establishing & maintaining integration solutions (primarily via web services - SOA {service-oriented architecture} based services) between ITM and several other systems (CRM, Sales, Customer portal/Internet bank and data warehouse) across multiple platforms.

IT Project Manager

• May 2011 - May 2012

Led a computing platform migration project ("New technical platform for ITM"). The project involved shifting ITMs infrastructure from outdated platform to a better & modern platform as well as installing the latest version of ITM application/software with many new technical features & upgrades. The new platform chosen for the project was established in ERF (Enterprise Resource Farm) Domain, which is DNB's new platform standard for common applications/systems across the whole organisation. ITM became one of the first systems to be implemented there and provided DNB and it's enterprise architecture a "proof of concept".

IT Systems Analyst

Worked as systems analyst for an insurance system called PLIS (Pension & Life Insurance System): one of the main legacy systems in the company (Vital Forsikring AS which was a part of DNB NOR group), based on IBM's Mainframe environment (z/OS, DB2, CICS, TSO, ISPF & RC/Update) and has CSC as ADM & infrastructure vendor.
