      I am one of the thermals/structures sub-team leads for THEIA(Telescope Hosting Event-based Imaging Apparatus), a 6U Cubesat mission accepted to the UNP NS-11 program (University Nanosatellite Program). My Responsibilities include: • Developing mass and volume budgets for the Cubesat for documentation • Modeling the cubesat structure with all the electronic and hardware components in Siemens NX • Writing thermal system requirements • Performing hand calculations to estimate the temperature of the satellite and its power consumption in different orbital cases • Running thermal simulations for extreme and operational cases of the satellite using thermal desktop with increasingly high accuracy to better understand heat transfer throughout the satellite in orbit • Documenting and reporting temperature of components and thermal results of simulation to inform thermal design of the satellite Show less
