Maddie was an outstanding intern at SUWA's DC office and an absolute joy to work with. Her intelligence, work ethic, writing ability, attention to detail, and tireless dedication to conservation were put to great use on a host of projects and she excelled in every task she was assigned to. Entrusted with organizing our most recent activist fly-in, Maddie worked with a degree of professionalism, organization, and coolness under pressure unrivaled by the typical intern. Her hard work undoubtedly made for one of the smoothest and most successful fly-ins in recent memory and our activists had nothing but good things to say about her. Whether mobilizing activists, drafting web content, attending hearings or meeting with federal officials on the Hill, Maddie has been articulate, personable, and incredibly self-motivated when representing SUWA; attributes I'm sure she'd bring to any organization lucky enough to have her.

Acknowledged member donations and answered their questions regarding their donations, renewal dates, and giving history, as well as any other relevant information they request. Aside from handling donation questions, oftentimes resulted in sharing redrock stories and enthusiasm for Utah's public lands - a definite perk of the job. Maintained Raiser's Edge database processing donations, updating member records, and tracking response to mail appeals. Opened cases with Blackbaud (the host of Raiser's Edge) regarding any database functionality issues and worked to provide a solution for staff using the database. Implemented annual membership program, including 14 mail solicitations to current and prospective members; maintained backend details, such as RSVP lists, for 3-4 member events a year; and ensured merchandise was well-stocked.
