Techtown has embarked on an initiative to help launch 400 new businesses in the City of Detroit in the next 3 years. As part of the effort they are using training programs from the Kaufmann Foundation in Kansas City. The Kaufmann Foundation is the world's largest entrepreneurial training organization. The foundation offers its FastTrac workshops for new startups and growth oriented businesses from any industry, as well as workshops specifically tailored for Hi-Tech businesses. I have been certified to train in the New Venture and Growth Venture programs.
