  I serve the four divisions of the School of Arts and Humanities: Art + Design, Communication and Theatre, Modern Languages and Literature, and Music. I am the director of the IWU Music Academy, a community-focused music education organization, I serve as the liaison between the four divisions and the web development team, I manage and assist with social media across the four divisions, and I aid in marketing and advertising events within each division. In addition, I serve as an administrative faculty member in the Division of Music teaching courses in conducting, ear training (aural skills), computer applications, and general music appreciation.

  My role includes many various facets. First, I am the director of the Indiana Wesleyan University Music Academy, a program through which university students teach private music lessons to community members. Second, it is my responsibility and privilege to connect the university with the community through any musical avenue that I can find. In this capacity I regularly engage with local public and private elementary, middle, and high schools trying to find and develop ways for us to partner together to enrich the musical culture of our community. Thirdly, I assist in designing and facilitating musical festivals, workshops, and summer camps. Fourthly, I aid in creating awareness of the musical happenings at Indiana Wesleyan University. One of the key ways I accomplish this is through the monthly newsletter which I control. Lastly, I teach courses in aural skills (ear training) for music majors, and general music appreciation which is required of all students at the university.
