Summer Camp Counselor

Every summer, I volunteer for a week at YMCA's Camp Arbolado. I work alongside a co-counselor to take care of between 10-16 girls in a cabin up in the woods of the San Bernardino Mountains. We conduct outdoor activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, hiking, swimming, ball games, and campwide group activities.

I was an Instructor/Camp Counselor at San Gorgonio Outdoor Science School. Every week, two elementary schools would send up their 5th or 6th graders to our site to attend science camp. Over the duration of the week, I taught classes of 12-17 students about natural science. I taught subjects including Wildlife, Geology, Ecology, Astronomy, and the L.A.W.S. of Nature.
