Sam Kahn, is the person you call when you need an objective perspective and are in need of assistance in any type of situation. As a former colleague and as a friend, I am a witness to his reliability, compassion, and passion he exuded when assisting students with their post-secondary readiness goals. I am confident that Sam will thrive in any workspace and will always be up for any challenges that may arise.

The NYU College Advising Corps works to help first-generation and low-income students to get through the college application and financial aid processes. As a college adviser, I worked with 128 high school seniors to help them complete 1100+ applications, and filing for 95+ FAFSAs. In order to evaluate student progress and achievement, I utilized data systems to track every student interaction and post-secondary plan, increasing FAFSA completion by 2% and 4-year college attendance by 4%. As a project associate, I got the opportunity to consult for Enterprise Community Partners for their justice-involved affordable housing work. Our team helped research affordable housing best practices and models to best support individuals and their housing needs as they leave the criminal justice system.
