This position is responsible for purchasing activities, including PO creation from end-user requisition, expediting, open order follow-up, identification and research of products and capital needs and PO creation for non-catalog items; and substitute/alternative product identification and selection support. • Communicates, monitors and ensures compliance with hospital standard and procedures for the purchase of materials and services • Initiates the purchase of goods and services, tracking and following up on orders through delivery. Selects purchase methodology, composes purchase order, verifies availability of product or service and establishes delivery dates. Monitors and expedites open orders and invoice discrepancies. Maintains communication with requisitioning departments regarding status of orders.
