I have worked with Daniel in support of many different organisations within the voluntary sector. He has a natural affinity and desire to work with values driven organisations and people. He has a careful and insightful approach to the development of professional relationships and networks and a competent and exciting approach to utilising digital tools in enhancing communications and strategies. When supporting other organisations Daniel can very rapidly investigate, identify and own the passion, history and purpose that drives organisations and most importantly he gets to grips with the business imperatives quickly and accurately. This ability to understand where organisations are in their development is a valuable skill, particularly when time is of the essence. Daniel has developed a real talent for supporting other organisations to grow and change. His honest, open, enthusiastic approach and strategic breadth engenders confidence in others. He has initiated exciting strategic change in several charities locally including Aylsham and District Care Trust of which I am Chair. His ability to access resources and people from his many contacts and professional networks allows him to bring a wealth of expertise and opportunity to small and medium sized organisations that lack the capacity for development. Commercial realism and a honed strategic awareness of the voluntary, statutory and private sectors gives Daniel a strong insight into the potential for partnership and shared strategic opportunity between these sectors. Daniel works with a variety of Boards and Executive Teams to help redefine their strategies for success. Then he leaves them with the tools and operational skills to make things happen. Driving up organisational ambition, capacity and competence though the application of his marketing, communications, branding and fundraising skills, which quickly turn opportunity into reality. Daniel never really leaves these organisations, he is loyal and concerned for all of them and continues to support. I see Daniel as essential to the future of our Charity and to many others, I genuinely hope he will continue to help us grow and achieve the strategic ambitions that he helped us formulate, I am deeply grateful to him and have no hesitation in commending him to other organisations.

Daniel and my paths have crossed increasingly over the last few years. It is and should be a given that Daniel is passionate about the VCSE sector and committed to it. But without actions these are just words. What makes Daniel stand out is his honesty in leadership. He listens, questions and is open to learning and altering his opinions. He is not afraid to risk appropriate challenge that is both helpful and insightful. He does this with the empathy present in humble and values-lead leaders. Time with Daniel is always well-spent and you will come away with new reflections.
