My job description in Eficode varies a lot. In some cases, I am a DevOps transformation lead for our customers, for them to grow toward DevOps practices. My approach is always hands-on so that as a result our customer's journey to DevOps transformation is very pragmatic and scalable to other teams and business units. In addition to those kinds of roles, I have a part in our Root DevOps platform (www.eficoderoot.com) operational team. This way I'm always updated on how to deploy and utilize the DevOps tooling the right way in our customer deliveries.My tasks also include making the customer DevOps journey visible from the current state towards best DevOps practices and capabilities what the world can offer. DevOps Technical Lead

I was part of the sales team responding to an RFQ on a major mobile payment solution in Sweden. My part was to write the response on how actual DevOps practices will be utilized on the whole software lifecycle management when taking over the stack. We won the backend and service delivery responsibility based on our view.In the transition phase, we build full stack deployment automation on top of self-service Open Stack infrastructure. In the same time, we implemented an end-to-end continuous delivery pipeline for backend microservices and trained the delivery organization to start delivering features tied to acceptance testing automation from business design to release management in ITIL based organization. My job as a DevOps technical lead strengthened my perception that true Agile transformation is made by "leading by showing" way. It is the only clear solution on how you scale good DevOps practices, even to old and rigid organizations. They will adapt eventually. Peer-to-peer practices push from the ground up and with a mandate from higher management, you can create new processes and way-of-working quite fast. Experiences gained from telecommunication core network R&D and my tool innovation projects lead to a win of intrapreneurship competition in 2015. During the competition, we designed and implemented a scalable Continuous Delivery as Code (CDaC) tool named Andon using the Lean Startup methodologies.It was designed to help large organizations, like Tieto to scale their DevOps practices through simple YML based configuration. People and competencies do not scale! Code, tools, and infra will! By linking these together from infra to fully automated test tools and network configuration, team's DevOps competence ramp-up time is as fast as possible.At the same time, I took part in numerous sales support cases and workshops that were DevOps oriented.

My responsibility was to give consultancy regarding Evolved Packet Core (EPC) mainly for sales to find new business opportunities for Tieto’s EPC experts. In this role, I started a couple of prototype tool projects for customers R&D machine. For e.g. my tool enabled our customer to do pre-commit testing with trunk based development way-of-working with difficult scalable hardware.

My main responsibility has been to design system level real time traffic monitoring features for Mobility Management Entity (MME) in EPC. During this period I have also participated to design numerous other features related to MME Operation and Maintenance (O&M) area. My system level knowledge on O&M features has also been used to specify footsteps for migrating MME application level on top of virtual platform.

During this time we created new Mobile Advertising Platform product for Tieto. My responsibility was to design and implement the client application for multiple different platforms for making multimedia messages. Client was implemented with C++ using Qt framework.
