Lazy Susan is a fast-growing e-commerce business that focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience. As a relatively small company I am able to work across many different areas of e-commerce and marketing, such as product management, web design, copywriting and email marketing. Working with agencies and external contractors is a big part of the job and I am relied on to ensure that brand guidelines and company values are adhered to at all times, as they represent our high standards. Working within a digital marketing agency allowed me to flex a variety of creative muscles. My day-to-day at Rococo included: 🔎 Heading up SEO campaigns to improve the reach of small businesses 📱 Running multi platform social media campaigns for multiple clients 💻 Copywriting for a range of web design and SEO clients, from local businesses to national brands 📝 Brainstorming ideas for business development and client outreach In this role, I completed a course in SEO Copywriting, and was continually supported in my career development, learning more about SEO, social media and digital marketing strategy every day in the job. Bigmoose is a non-profit coffee shop that supports individuals affected by homelessness and mental illness. Using social media in September 2019 to suggest people donate to their organisation, I soon met with the owners and within weeks was working in the shop as part of the team. My hospitality skills grew tenfold; I trained to become a skilled barista, cook, baker and a friendly server to all new and regular guests that visited the coffee shop. My time at Bigmoose is a testament to how adaptable, flexible and eager to learn I am, both as part of a team and individually. As Tripadvisor’s #1 coffee shop in Cardiff, customer service was essential and became one of my strongest assets. Show less

    • Editor In Chief
      • May 2018 - Nov 2018

The most rewarding role during my time at Quench Magazine, being Editor in Chief held a lot of responsibility. My managerial debut, I recruited each member of the 30+ strong editorial team and worked with every person on a close level. My existing proofreading and copy editing skills expanded from a few pages in the Food & Drink section to every single page of the magazine, as well as watching over online content and social media posts too. I also began to design pages for the publication, developing my InDesign skills. My relationships with my co-editors, fellow student media peers and industry contacts strengthened as running the magazine was a huge team effort and required a lot of passion. Show less

    • Food and Drink Editor
      • Jun 2017 - May 2018

As part of the editorial team for Cardiff University’s award-winning student magazine, my role required a lot of responsibility to ensure my section retained its high quality features and strong relationships with local Cardiff companies. I ran the social media accounts, engaging with fellow students, the public and bloggers. This role also required creativity in pitching ideas to the editor-in-chief, and managerial skills when recruiting contributors to write copy for the section.

    • Media Marketing Assistant
      • Mar 2018 - Jul 2018

Creativity and independence were the most important traits I developed as a media marketing assistant. My role was to create media content for Cardiff University’s international marketing, anything from lengthy interview films, snappy Instagram videos or simply graphics to advertise information. This meant I was relied on to produce things completely independently, while checking to ensure my work met the high standards and guidelines for the university’s marketing material. This meant my communication skills between myself and my managers was strengthened, as well as my own confidence as a worker. Show less
