Julie is truly one of a kind. As my AmeriCorps Director, Julie was thoughtful, inclusive, and inspiring in everything she did. She always prioritized AmeriCorps volunteers in her work. Julie worked to create partnerships with organizations in our community, and she showed unfailing dedication to everyone in our program. Julie supported me through my challenges, celebrated with me in my accomplishments, and consistently taught me how to better care for those in my community. It was a privilege to work with Julie for two years, and because of my experiences with her as my Director, I saw growth in myself and in my work. To this day, Julie inspires me, personally and professionally, and is the best illustration of a genuine and dedicated leader. I highly recommend Julie for this position, and this program will be extremely lucky to have her on their team.

Julie and I worked closely together for a number of years with AmeriCorps Partnership to End Homelessness. She worked tirelessly to ensure each member had a meaningful experience. Members benefited from team building exercises, trainings, and retreats. AmeriCorps members grew from these experiences and Julie was a integral part of their personal and professional growth. As a supervisor she was encouraging, detail oriented, thoughtful, and helped me grow professionally. She values hard work, but is keen to be mindful of self care. The state selected our AmeriCorps program to review time and again because, with her oversight, the program’s records and standards were superior. This was by far one of my favorite jobs and Julie was a huge part of this reason.
