I could not be more delighted to provide my strongest recommendation for Kayla Vergara as a mature, highly competent and focused rising professional. Her literally unparalleled academic excellence is a clear matter of record as the most decorated undergraduate I have personally encountered at my university, and this was very well deserved. Kayla was the only undergraduate I ever trusted with teaching assistantships in both my undergraduate and graduate courses. As she provided extraordinary technical support for me when it came to use of digital tools and platforms, she also surprised me with her extraordinary commitment to cultivating spirit and engagement on the part of my classroom learning communities. While managing a packed schedule Kayla still went well beyond merely handling her duties. She would always ask that extra question about what I was trying to do, often using my response to point out a gap in my thinking, suggest an additional approach that might be use, or propose some helpful communication she could send to keep my students on track. Our frequent discussions about her career plans revealed just how complete Kayla's development has been. In her, I find possibly the best example of a positive growth mindset that I've ever encountered in one of my students. This combined with her unflinching embrace of new challenges and high value for the empowerment of others make her a superb candidate for your workforce or new member of your team.

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to know and work with Kayla during our time at the University of San Francisco. Kayla and I took the majority of our undergraduate coursework together, meaning we worked in the same group for most (if not all) of the group projects we were required to do. Kayla has a natural ability to not only lead but also teach and help others along the way; Kayla always ensured that everyone participated equally, as well as that everyone understood the curriculum equally, leading numerous study sessions that lasted late into the night. Furthermore, her organization and planning skills are top-notch; when we were given a semester-long project with the only deadline being the due date, Kayla created an entire outline detailing responsibilities and deadlines for each group member. This outline ended up being adopted by our professor for future use. There is no doubt in my mind that Kayla would make an outstanding addition to any team, as she is an intellectually and emotionally intelligent self-starter with a passion for the work she does.
