After a brief time working as a staff accountant at a local CPA firm to begin my career, I was afforded the opportunity to join a privately held finance company to serve as their controller. After assisting with the day-to-day accounting process, financial statement preparation and analytical review for several years, I was promoted to Executive Vice President and was called upon to consult with the CEO and other members of management on many opportunities for the company and provide financial information to assist with these pivotal decisions. Almost ten years later I was given the chance to join Bennett Thrasher PC, one of the top 100 accounting firms in the nation, to become a senior in the Client Accounting Services practice. This practice allowed me to make use of my years of experience in the private sector by managing to identify with the client and understand the needs and opportunities these clients face. I soon moved into the manager position and then director role and began to assist in growing the Client Accounting Services practice.My clients range from companies in the development or startup stage to larger established multi-entity organizations. I have served clients in the restaurant, construction, financial services, credit card processing, healthcare, transportation, entertainment and cellular industries.
