JTech-II Range Contract Support, Information Systems Security Specialist (ISSS/ISSO). In this role, I provide specialized security analysis of the CL Range’s support network which consists of: high speed cameras, sim/real aircraft threat systems, radar, TSPI, telemetry, and comm instrumentation infrastructure, as well as the many associated data systems & software suites used to transport and store classified test data. This includes implementation and continuous compliance with NIST SP800 -RMF methods/controls, JSIG security controls (at many sites, each with a unique system architecture), drafting cyber policy and maintaining accreditation packages and other ATO documentation. Additionally, I work with engineering teams to maintain dynamic operational functionality with priority to a secure but operational test environment. This includes proficiency with eMASS, DADMS, and other tracking systems used by the DOD/DON. Show less

    • Technical Engineer IV
      • Oct 2016 - Jul 2018

Under an RDT&E contract with the Department of the Navy, as part of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division's Aircraft Integrated Product Team, NDTI employs contract technicians/engineers (like myself) to provide support to the Navy's F/A-18 & E/A-18G and F-35 test programs. I have been given the privilege of Manager of the F/A-18 & E/A-18G Mission Systems laboratory and the lead System and Network Administrator. As the development of the various parts of tactical aircraft continues, so too does the need for a constantly advanced mission planning software. As part of the mission systems task team, I test and evaluate software builds, administer operational evaluations, and compatibility and overall functionality of tactical flight mission computers. As my skill and experience operating digital cameras and processing imaging data grew over years, I became more aware of my passion for the art and science of the hobby; I put my knowledge to work for me and started Æther Digital Media. At Æther, I oversee quoting, invoicing, finance, and general operations, manage multiple employees, as well as lead each project as the cinematographer/photographer. Since opening in November of 2013, my company has been hired to professionally record picture and video of various: multi-national business commercials, municipal government community events, weddings, live theater performances, family events, baby and engagement announcements, and independent short films. Contract Consultant (11/2016-01/2017) based on client requirement for specialized photogrammetry. As Director of Data Services at Monarch, I lead the team effort in designing the correct sensor array for the needs of the client. These decisions are backed by several years of experience with digital silicon sensor systems; ranging from consumer-grade EO cameras to research class, multi-spectral and LiDAR imagers. My role put me in touch with anyone interested in owning a Monarch UAS as well as any potential service client who had a need in which we could offer Photogrammetric data product solutions. Since our data products are acquired via sUAS remote sensor, the Director of Data Services is responsible for designing, managing and executing a methodology for data acquisition, processing, and mapping which adheres to the National Standards for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) set by the ASPRS and the USGS. Recently, I made a change to a Test Flight Operations position for the DOD, however I continue with Monarch as one of the primary consultants during service flight planning and execution. I was the trained resident photogrammetrist and autonomous flight control advisory technician, so I mostly assist in these responsibilities during a new contract, by request from Monarch. Show less

This branch of Epsilon Systems Solutions is located in Ridgecrest, CA just outside of the China Lake Naval Air Warfare Station. China Lake is a Naval weapons test range with just over 1,000,000 acres of land for use in research, development, test & evaluation for the Department of the Navy. The main focus of the Ridgecrest Epsilon branch is Environmental Management Services and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Our teams of archaeologists and biologists perform surveys on proposed construction areas as well as proposed test areas on the naval air base. My job is to map these surveys, along with any findings, and report these maps to the officers overseeing the test or construction. I keep track of a database of historic and prehistoric cultural and biological findings for analysis in future tests and construction. Along with this task, I am part of a team of GIS Analysts who, along with a software and web developers, maintain and update the Mission Compatibility Analysis Tool (MCAT for short). MCAT is a web service, developed in house at Epsilon Systems, which serves primarily as an analysis tool for planning and coordination between the US military, Department of Defense, and Federal Aviation Administration as well as several other government entities operating on the federal, state, county, and municipal level. My more recent work with MCAT has involved planning, recording, and editing promotional and instructional tutorial videos associated with the site to provide information and training to MCAT users.
