  Using knowledge of fluid mechanics and literature review, I modified the design of micro-fluidic channels and created a physical rendering of this design on SolidWorks that was 3D printed. Applying circuitry knowledge, I designed a circuit that detects changes in light intensity in the channels and converts them to voltages, amplifies the signal, and converts this signal to logical saturation points using a comparator. I wrote an interrupt code to quantify the count of each logical yes, accounting for each particle. Show less
