I worked for John whilst rolling out training for a new in-house resource management system. As a director John worked strategically and was able to get the very best out of his team and one of his strengths was to understand the skills of his team members and to ensure they had opportunities to work on projects where they flourished. My role involved overcoming all the challenges that a rapidly growing organisation encounters, from organic growth to acquisitions. Starting with a small team, I created a highly skilled and motivated Information and Business systems team that support the Mears Group strategy in all it's business areas. I have a wealth of experience in integrating business units into large organisations, from both contract wins and acquisitions, including the management of a team to perform the necessary analysis, development, installation, training and ongoing support to ensure the Mears business had the right tools, at the right time, to continue delivering excellent customer service. As the business expanded, I successfully restructured the IT department to gain maximum efficiency without risking service excellence or team moral.
